Research
and Development
Our
size and trade customer base gives us the luxury of knowing
we have a market for almost anything we develop.
However, selling a poorly developed product risks our whole customer
base, so we invest heavily in R&D
We
have two graduate engineers doing full time R&D.
It takes about 4 months to get a cartridge ready for production
-
- The
first step is to buy a machine and test original cartridges
to benchmark the product.
- We
look at pagelife, text quality, print definition, adhesion,
density (black and grey scale), background, offset and duplexing.
- We
then test all the available drum, toner, seal etc. combinations
against those criteria.
- When
we think we have it right, we run full cartridge tests until
we are convinced of product reliability.
We
do not make different grades of product, the options are excellence
or nothing - if the OEM drum is the best practice we will use
it. If we can’t get a satisfactory match, we don’t make
it. We will not rush to market with a substandard product
