COLLECTING
EMPTY CARTRIDGES
What
do I have to do?
Many
offices and businesses in your area use laser and inkjet printers.
Many of the parents or supporters of your school may be working
in those offices. If possible approach parents/supporters who
have knowledge of computers or business organisations and persuade
them to co-ordinate collection. A drive to contact and collect
from other local businesses also produces good results.
For some time now we have seen an increase in the number of other
remanufacturers cartridges we are receiving. As we do not reuse
previously recycled products we will only credit for original
empties. Not all cartridges are recyclable. Please refer to The
Used Cartridges Wanted List which covers the ones we accept.
The Compatibility List gives
a comprehensive list of printers and which cartridges they use.
Laser
Cartridges
Cartridges
must be returned with all used components or parts originally
supplied and in their original packaging and boxes. This ensures
they arrive here in good condition. When you have a minimum of
ten cartridges, tape the 10 boxes very firmly together with brown
packing tape, address and quote your reference number on each
package (if you have 27 cartridges make up 3 packages e.g. 2 of
10 and 1 of 7 etc). A parcel must not exceed the following maximums
- package length 1.50 metres, package length plus girth 3.00 metres
and maximum weight of 30.00kgs.

Phone
us quoting your reference number, let us know how many packages,
the total number of cartridges you have for collection, where
they are to be collected from and when. If you have a mixture
of inkjets and cartridges please let us know the breakdown as
we have to calculate the weight of each consignment. We will then
arrange collection (usually the following day) free of charge
by a national carrier (mostly Nightspeed).
If
it is impossible to arrange a collection point we now have available
a Reply Paid Post service. Following the packing instructions
above, use one label per package completing the senders details
(always quote your reference number) and take them to your nearest
Post Office.
Inkjet
Cartridges
We
will purchase all Hewlett Packard inkjet cartridges, Canon Bubblejet
(BC01//BC02/BC03) and IBM 4076 (and compatible) cartridges you
can send. To make collection of inkjet cartridges as easy as possible
we have designed a small (about 8 x 8 x 4 inch) box that will
hold 20 inkjets and comes complete with a Freepost label so once
it is full you simply seal the box and post it to us. A replacement
box will automatically be sent to you on receipt of the full one.
Please do not send Epson, Olivetti or
any inkjets that do not have a print head as they are not recyclable.
To help identify these inkjets please refer to The
Used Cartridges Wanted List and the Compatibility
list.
