Welcome to Laserxchange / The Cancer Research Campaign (Now Cancer Research UK) Donation Pages

Link to Cancer Research UK website

Cancer Research UK began operating on 4th February 2002 as a result of the merger of The Cancer Research Campaign and Imperial Cancer Research Fund.

We are now the largest volunteer-supported cancer research organisation in the world with a mission to conquer cancer through world-class research.

With a dedicated team of 3,000 scientists and an annual scientific spend of more than £176 million – raised almost entirely through public donations – our aims are to:

  • cure cancer patients faster
  • cut numbers of people getting cancer
  • bring better treatments to cancer patients
  • train more cancer doctors, nurses and scientists for research
  • be the authoritative source of information on cancer
  • maximise resources available for cancer research

Thanks to people like you, on whose support we rely, we have already made great progress in preventing cancer and developing new and effective treatments.

Every empty computer printer cartridge could generate funds.

Empty computer printer toner and inkjet cartridges should not be thrown away in landfill sites when they can be made as new by remanufacture. This saves the environment and could help the 1,000 doctors and scientists who work tirelessly at Cancer Research UK to continue finding answers to cancer by understanding the causes of cancer, learning how cancer can be prevented and by finding new treatments that will dramatically improve the quality of life for people with cancer.
Cancer Research UK has a contract with Laserxchange who are one of the UK's leading cartridge remanufacturers. Each recyclable cartridge will mean a donation to Cancer Research UK

Once you have an empty toner cartridge

Cartridges must be returned with all used components or parts originally supplied and in their original packaging and boxes. This ensures they arrive here in good condition. When you have a minimum of ten cartridges, tape the 10 boxes very firmly together with brown packing tape, address and quote your reference number on each package (if you have 27 cartridges make up 3 packages e.g. 2 of 10 and 1 of 7 etc). A parcel must not exceed the following maximums - package length 1.50 metres, package length plus girth 3.00 metres and maximum weight of 30.00kgs.

Phone us quoting your reference number, let us know how many packages, the total number of cartridges you have for collection, where they are to be collected from and when. If you have a mixture of inkjets and cartridges please let us know the breakdown as we have to calculate the weight of each consignment. We will then arrange collection (usually the following day) free of charge by a national carrier (mostly Business Post).

When collecting inkjets, please store them in the freepost box which Laserxchange will provide and post it when full.

You can return small quantities of empty Inkjet cartridges by attaching our FREEPOST LABEL - Available by calling 01873859901. Please do NOT send Epson Inkjets - they are not recyclable.

On receipt of your empty cartridges

Laserxchange will make the relevant donation and inform Imperial Cancer Research Fund that it was your help and generosity that made it possible.

Which cartridges are recyclable? See our extensive list.

No cartridges are made in the UK, so in addition to supporting Cancer Research UK, each cartridge recycled saves non renewable plastics and metals, whilst creating jobs and saving imports into the UK.
