Welcome to Laserxchange / British Heart Foundation Donation Pages

Coronary heart disease is the single most common cause of death in the UK. One in four men and one in six women in the UK die from it. Heart disease affects people of all ages and from all backgrounds and has a terrible impact on the lives of many individuals and their families.

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the leading national charity fighting heart and circulatory disease - the UK's number one killer. Our partnership with the BHF offers you the chance not only to recycle your cartridges but raise vital funds for the fight against heart disease.

For every suitable cartridge Laserxchange will donate £2.00 per original laser cartridge and £1 per inkjet cartridge to the BHF. All costs involved in the set up and running of the scheme are met by Laserxchange, which means that you can get involved for free.

The donations generated through our recycling fundraising scheme will help the BHF get to the heart of the problem by conducting research into heart health, funding lifesaving equipment and providing the care, support and information heart patients and their families need.

Douglas Rouse, Head of Corporate Fundraising at the BHF says: "We're encouraging every computer user - both at work and home - to recycle their printer cartridges for the British Heart Foundation. It's simple and free for home PC or mac users and companies to get involved, and they'll be helping us to raise vital funds. What's more, they'll be doing their bit to protect the environment."

Laser cartridges can be recycled by emailing Louise Grady on louise@laserxchange.co.uk or by calling 01873 859901 and registering your company. Your cartridges will then be collected free of charge.

The BHF poster Your inkjet cartridges can be recycled by putting the used ones into one of our special freepost envelopes, available from your local BHF shop.

Once you have an empty toner cartridge

Cartridges must be returned with all used components or parts originally supplied and in their original packaging and boxes. This ensures they arrive here in good condition. When you have a minimum of ten cartridges, tape the 10 boxes very firmly together with brown packing tape, address and quote your reference number on each package (if you have 27 cartridges make up 3 packages e.g. 2 of 10 and 1 of 7 etc). A parcel must not exceed the following maximums - package length 1.50 metres, package length plus girth 3.00 metres and maximum weight of 30.00kgs.

Phone us quoting your reference number, let us know how many packages, the total number of cartridges you have for collection, where they are to be collected from and when. If you have a mixture of inkjets and cartridges please let us know the breakdown as we have to calculate the weight of each consignment. We will then arrange collection (usually the following day) free of charge by a national carrier (mostly Business Post).

When collecting inkjets, Your inkjet cartridges can be recycled by putting the used ones into one of our special freepost envelopes, available from your local BHF shop or for larger volumes in the freepost box which Laserxchange will provide.

Please do NOT send Epson Inkjets - they are not recyclable.

On receipt of your empty cartridges

Laserxchange will make the relevant donation to us and inform us that it was your help and generosity that made it possible.

Which cartridges are recyclable? See our extensive list.
